Atelier FAQs & Specifications
Atelier Inquiries & Client Specifications
Essential details on our bespoke commissioning process, European material integrity, horological integration, and international private transit.
I. Bespoke Commissions & Ordering
Q: Why is automated checkout omitted across your collections?
A: We operate as an independent custom leather atelier rather than a commercial assembly-line enterprise. To preserve finite workbench allocations and ensure each piece conforms strictly to individual wrist dimensions, bag proportions, and leather cut preferences, all commissions are finalized via direct consultation through WhatsApp or Concierge Email prior to private invoicing.
Q: Can I request personalized monogramming or structural adjustments?
A: Yes. During the consultation stage, clients may specify interior goatskin hues, contrasting or tone-on-tone French linen stitch colors, subtle internal layout adaptations, and discreet blind or metallic hot-stamped initials.
II. Horological Accompaniments & Hardware
Q: Do bespoke watch straps include buckles, and will they fit my original clasp?
A: All bespoke straps are hand-profiled and tapered to integrate seamlessly with your luxury timepiece's original manufacturer (OEM) pin buckle or deployant clasp. Third-party complementary stainless steel hardware can be provided upon request, subject to available workshop stock at the time of your commission.
Q: Why do you utilize French Haas Zermatt calfskin for strap linings?
A: Zermatt calfskin from France’s historic Tanneries Haas is the global horological benchmark for luxury underlays. It is hypoallergenic, skin-supple, and treated with permanent anti-perspiration and moisture-resistant properties to prevent sweat degradation and odor during daily wear.
III. Provenance & Craftsmanship Disciplines
Q: Where are your leather hides and construction materials sourced?
A: We source exclusively from certified heritage European tanneries: certified matte French Himalayan crocodile hide, Italian consortium vegetable-tanned leathers from Tuscany, French Barenia, German Togo, and genuine French Alran goatskin (Chèvre Sully) for interior architecture.
Q: What craftsmanship disciplines are utilized across your leather pieces?
A: Each piece is engineered using dedicated artisanal standards suited to its functional requirements. Our bespoke watch straps, wallets, and pocket objects are 100% hand-stitched using traditional French two-needle saddle stitching with waxed linen thread. For larger archival bags, totes, and structured briefcases, we employ a sophisticated hybrid construction: critical structural seams feature high-density tailored machine stitching for permanent architectural integrity, balanced by hand-stitched stress points, hand-shaped handles, and multi-layered hand-painted edge finishes.
IV. Production Lead Times & International Delivery
Q: What are the production lead times for bespoke commissions?
A: Once your commission specifications and materials are approved, bench production time is typically 15 to 20 business days for watch straps and small leather goods, and 25 to 35 business days for structured archival bags, briefcases, and complex travel cases.
Q: How are international shipping rates and import customs calculated and settled?
A: International express transit (via DHL,UPS,FedEx express with direct signature) is calculated based on parcel dimensions and destination, and included alongside your bespoke piece within the consolidated private invoice prior to payment confirmation.
